Our True Love

Our True Love

A Poem by darkknightN

For some reason,

I can’t explain,

You caught my eye,

And stole my brain.

For every time,

That we would meet,

I acted lame,

But you were sweet.

I was jealous,

Of all those guys,

Who wanted you,

Like you were a prize.

Instead of them,

You chose me,

Why you did,

I still can’t see.

It’s been one year,

We’re still together,

Compared to me,

You’re so much better.

Here’s a gift,

From me to you,

A simple poem,

I hope will come true.

Roses are red,

Violets are blue,

We’ll last forever,

‘Cause I love you.

About
As a little boy, I used to always play pretend: slaying dragons, rescuing princesses, becoming a Nascar racer. My mom always said I was creative. Until I'd accidentally break a piece of her china set... more..
