Nor a Lady for a Friend

Nor a Lady for a Friend

A Poem by David Pitman

The tongue is an ocean bridled;
a sea of strength to all entitled
yet few are able to release
such terrible a force as this I speak
without fear of one's self
and the skeletons on one's shelf
it is not that man worries for man
nor a lady for a friend
such relations are only kept
if it seems to justify one's end

I really like this poem, it has a timeless quality to it that is quite nice and the flow feels effortless, though that probably isn't the case. The type face is pretty small, so you might want to adjust that. Also this line feels a little off - "such terrible a force as this is speak"

Great job on this nonetheless and also welcome to the cafe :)
