Love&Pain

Love&Pain

A Poem by David Kwaku

I have not felt pain in a while
Tangled in love, lost sight of what was made hidden in my darkness.
Tonight, in this cold, lonely graveyard,
My half has risen from the cores of my fears.
Fear has travelled from the breath of my tears.
Reincarnated into this solemn pain
Drips from the tips of love,
I knew it, used to its gripping claws
It feels...like a stab first dipped in ecstasy.
Tonight we are made whole, folded into one.

Tangled in love, lost sight...
Nice write.

Pain can become part of us like two lovers kisses in the moonlight. Pain creeps in when we least expect it sometimes but if we dwell on it too long it will take us over and we will be lost. This is what I heard pouring from this piece. Just my personal interpretation
