Storm

Storm

A Poem by David Kwaku

Heart,
Subside the storm that integrate the old with new.
Bringing the gushing dew that flows in vein’s vale.
Reaching the home of love,
Flooding the unsailed river of emotions.
Burial of shingles, the loose boundary between hate and love.
Swift whispers echo sparks,
It kindles a tumult flame.
Burning the relic of the angel’s face.
The devil preys around, leaving its footprints on each grain of sand.
Gaze again at the mirror that frames a reflection on the wall,
Just a shadowed scene.
