Drawn to You

The first attraction

From the first time that I saw you
And without a word to say
Something draws me to you
Won't let me get away
Not that I'd want to
Nor, is there anything I can do
Something stirs inside me
I feel it come from you
I know that its not easy
For dreams to just come true
I see the question in you are thinking
When your eyes come in to view
For I wonder every day now
Would this, could this, be mine
And I pray a little prayer
Lord, if Your will, it will be
Maybe we could wonder ourselves
Into something that is real
Yet then anything would be possible
If that way, we choose to feel

Little that I can show you there
Yet there is so much that We could see
A simpler life would be my desire
And my dream that I would see
At times the world has been hard on me
Yet I find I make it through each day
I know that whatever is meant to be
God will provide the way
So I'll hold on to my feelings
Unless they would break through
You'll see the very man inside of me
If you're really wanting to
And I'll look your way and wonder
The same thing I see you do
And you'll see the little ways
That show how I am drawn to you

Yet how would I convince you
To show all that I can be?
No, just know as much as I am drawn to you
I hope you'll be drawn to me
And maybe we could find our way
We may go somewhere as never before
But for today I have a friend I really like
And maybe one day, just maybe, more
