The Dance

The Dance

A Poem by Thief of Nightmares

As I dance with you,
Nervous and Sweating,
And stare in your eyes so blue,
My heart is aching,
To say that I love you,
But as we were dancing,
and I hoping that you liked me, too
I couldnt help but thinking,
That I had bitten off more than I could chew.
Suddenly we start talking,

Its like the night has begun anew,

My pulse stops racing,

I dont feel like I'm wearing brick shoes,

But like all good things, it must come to an end,

I thank you for dancing,my heart I must fend

For in my mind, I'm still dancing with you
