Waiting

Waiting

A Poem by Delaney Thomas

Waiting
And so I sat waiting
Waiting for the monsters to come and take me away
Waiting for my eyes to go black
And all of my senses to shut down
Waiting for the definite silence that comes
With the eternal darkness
And the knowledge that everything is gone
Waiting for the feeling to leave my body
And for the numbness to settle in
Waiting for the monsters to say it's all over
And I am gone
Waiting for the end of everything
And so I sat waiting

A sad and powerful poem. Waiting for monsters and demons leave us alone and destined. I could feel the loneliness and disappointment in the poem. It is sad we we give in and lose the will to fight. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

I hate seeing beautiful ones feel sad and upset at all. This poem's now a composition of your tears, emotions, pain, love and faith which has expressed much depth throughout the words. The love's game and sometimes, It makes us feel, we are the winners of this game so sometimes, it makes us feel putting the hands on a table showing "HEARTS." And that's what your this painful write revealed indirectly.

Your very creative, you know very well how to convert the pain, emotions and faith of love into the words making a reader feel all the emotions by the words.
