As your Mind left

As your Mind left

A Poem by Gigi
"

A poem for a friend. A song for myself. A message in a bottle for time.

"
Take a look down the road.

Watch your lips flow,
down through the alleys,
see that sun glow.

Feel the heat, that unbearable heat.
As your mind left...

Brown haired girl,
chasing every word,
that he said.
Brown haired girl,
romanticizing,
the life he led.

She had love...
As your mind left.

He went mad,
She grew a little smarter.
She advanced into the light.
As his mind left home...
All she could do...
was go...

Leaving behind the friend.
Leaving behind the love.

Leaving behind the words that she felt were true...

He asked for help,
She burst cool.
Never hearing a word.
As his mind left home.
All she could do...
was roam...

To find Sanity among the derangement.

Now an old friend in the darkness stares.
Watches you from far away.
What could she have done?
As your mind left.

Author's Note

Gigi
I'm sure the person that I wrote this for, would hate me after reading this. I know darn well why...
It's because I spoke my mind.
When ever I do this around him, he says I'm wrong.
But I know... something inside tells me this is right.
To say this is right.
