Your words are true. I have over 20 hand guns and rifles. They are store away except on for house defense. Government want to control all things. $8.00 a pack for cigarettes is making lighters lose their function. I like the initial rule of our Independent. Less government. No interaction of Government and banks/private sector. Thank you for the excellent poem.

ban lighters? hell no! how could we enjoy candlelight dinners? well, if we banned love, there would be no need for candlelight. Ok, just ban everything!

Why do people always believe that the answers lie in adding more laws and rules. Am I the only one aware that most people don't follow the ones we already have?
Rules only apply to "other" people. Right!

You are correct... bad people don't follow the rules so you are only punishing the good for the bad one's actions. What if they banned meat tenderizers, then I couldn't beat my meat yet somewhere else someone will be doing it illegally... yeap I went there :)

Thanks, they are senryus so they are meant to be short, with a 5-7-5 syllable count the challenge is to say what you need in those quick conditions. Glad you liked them.

HA! I love this...because...because...oh hell! I was just last night saying something very similar to my Brit...we both think this ban on guns is absolutely ridiculous, especially as there are more homicides committed by blunt force trauma to the head than actual bullet wounds...where do we draw the goddamn line?
