The Grim Reaper In My Shoes

The Grim Reaper In My Shoes

A Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)
"

The effects of the graveyard shift on a positive mind.

"

The lights are on

so I cannot see outside.

Darkness all around

but the reflections on the windows

leave me consumed within myself.

My image on all sides of me,

I have become my own worst fear…

         Claustrophobia.

Asphyxiation without strangulation

leaves no fingerprints

to identify the dying soul’s

destination in the afterlife.
