My Poetic Soulmate

My friend Divya had inspired my work more than she knows and recently I got the privilege to collab with her, it came so natural that I was humbled that I was good enough to blend my voice with hers.

 

Two hearts… two minds

Two voices,

Combining into one

Thought and emotion

So naturally.

Together we weave

A tapestry of humanity.

You say I inspire you

But it is you
that has helped my inner poet

Come of age,

Turning my boyish lines

Into verses of a true man.

All I know is that

We are the Sonny and Cher

In the world of the written word

Cause “I got you babe”

To enrich my poetry

With valuable meaning.

When two people share a very deep affection, affinity and love for each other they can peek into the other's soul as naturally as looking through a clear glass window, for each reflects the thoughts and feelings of the other and the sharing of vibes is effortless. I would also liken it to looking into the mirror. Then the outcome is poetry as beautiful as this, for it is from the soul.

Dale, the following lines mirror my feelings for you perfectly and I want to tell you that they are mutual...

"You say I inspire you

For me, our connection goes beyond the romantic and is something more abiding, beautiful and priceless. A shining beacon of inspiration and warmth to cheer us as we journey together through life with all its trials and hardships. Thanks for making me feel so special. I love you Dale.
