Meds for this illness

Looks good when advertised

But only provide a temporary healing

With long-term consequences.

 

For the pain is artificially numbed

But your life loses peripheral vision

And you’ll become deaf

To the truth conspiring with lies.

 

So hold firm to your roll

In God’s reality show

Until the ratings are larger

Than the number of the beast.

Sorry I haven't been on this website in recent months . . . I've missed reading you! Before I forget, in the first line I think "if" is meant to be "is" (???) I'm not sure if you're referring to "chemo" but this could also refer to other remedies (botox) which are actually poison. I completely agree that faith in God is the best healing route, necessary even for those who also choose the poison. You always have a very original & interesting point of view on things.
