In My Blood

In My Blood

A Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)
"

Who I am

"

Running through my blood

Are many a spices

That’s brings out

My wild side.

Hidden in my blood

Are traces of vinegar

Resulting from times

I couldn’t control my anger.

Coursing through my blood

Are bits of gold and silver

From the love I’ve bestowed

And sometimes received in kind.

Clogging up my blood

Are shards of broken glass

From many betrayals

Of those I blindly trusted.

This is my blood

That journeys through a heart

That somehow continues to beat

Even when my will and reason

Is _____________________

Hey, that's clever! A great statement! Excellent theme choice, I haven't seen something quite like that before. I must make a nit-picky correction though....

"Running through my blood
Are many a spices
*That's brings out*
my wild side"

Grammatically incorrect... x3 "That bring out" should be used. Yep yep. Otherwise, I like the boldness of it.

This is very deep. I like how expressive this is. And it's very powerful. It's short, sweet, and to the point. It doesn't lead you away from the real point of the poem. I like that you have a steady focus on the subject matter in your poem. Job well done!
