Humane Survival

Humane Survival

A Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)

Mother Earth’s scars

Run sensitive to the core.

Her heartbeat often unstable

From children’s misdeeds

Leaving an unsteady crack

Through her organic chambers

Letting every ethnic bloodline

Seep into an abyss

As humanity pays the price

Of an ancient verse brought to life.

A prophecy fulfilled,

Set in motion by the ramblings

Of a blind man

With distorted visions

Of a mentor with perfect vision.

Prayer turn to treason

From toxic preaching,

Trying to perform an exorcism

In full blown Armegeddon.

Doomsday inevitable

Still the world spins,

Encore… reborn.

War, peace, war and peace again..but never ending as you duly note in your write. It has all been predicted, and man tries to fix it, "right it" so to say, but we are unable to perform a full exorcism so doomsday still looms before us. It is sadly, the folly of man!
Deep, and reflective....wonderful!

Very strong piece. Wonderful way to put "we'll never learn." (Or maybe more to the point, it drives it home that so many just don't care.)

So many lines in your poem are true for us in today world. I hope for a encore...reborn. But something in this world were gifts wasted and lost. A outstanding poem. You said so much in so few words.

This is about how we are making our own he'll right here, a he'll of our own doing? The language in this is intense and strong, as well as the emotions it brings out. Great writing!

Mans inhumanity to man never seems to change. wars andrumours of wars since the dawn of recorded history. Perhaps the only way to counter overbreeding

wow... this is a great look at human folly and what we do to the earth...she can only take so much of the childrens tantrums until one day the scales are turned and there is no going back. Excellent...

Unfortunately this world will stop spinning or at least shift in direction...and
all will be reborn again. Mans injustice to Mother Nature will come full circle.
A truthful write; much insight! Well done!
