Ahsegnio

Written in the Roman alphabet.

This language is spoken by a group of people from an apocalyptic dystopian future.

These people are in Europe and are descendants of English, French, and Spanish speakers (Plus some). Therefore, the language developed based upon these languages.

Phonology

The phonology of a language, is the sounds that the language can make. This lesson will cover all of the vowels, consonants, and diphthongs.

Vowels

AH - pronounced as in cop (There is no solitary "A". Only "A" followed by "H". Resulting in "AH".)

B �" pronounced as e in beg

I - pronounced as ee in feet

O - pronounced as oa in boat

U �" pronounced as oo in food

 

Diphthongs

IA- pronounced "Yah"

EU �" pronounced as u in bug

OI - pronounced as wa in water

AI �" pronouned eye in eye

 

Consonants

Bin boat

K - c in cat

D - d in dog

F - f in fire

FF �" v in violin

G - g in good

GN �" n in onion

H - h in hello (Silent if following a vowel / diphthong)

L - l in loud

LL �" y in yes

M - m in mine

N - n in nose

P - p in pork

S - s in song

T �" t in sat (Light tap)

TT �" t in time (Heavy tap)

R- Tapped (Such as in Japanese)

RR- Breathed (Such as in French)

CH - ch in chat

SH - sh in shut
