A tiny teardrop fell

A tiny teardrop fell

A Poem by Deborah Leah Krempa

a

tiny

teardrop

fell

As she recalled the death of her husband

so many years ago

a

tiny

teardrop

fell

As she talked to me she rubbed her hand

that still gently held her gold wedding band

a

tiny

teardrop

fell

As she recalled she found him in the kitchen

slumped over in a heap onto the tiled floor

a

tiny

teardrop

fell

As she remembered his last words

"I'll always love you, dear"

a

tiny

teardrop

fell

Awwww, this is so sad. I like the way you wrote it, though.

Very Sad but well written, its hard to lose someone you love, and from my experience it seems that there was a lot more than a tiny tear drop, and they never seemed to end. You made me think of that time.....................Blessings, Carl

Very sad and touching! Your presentation with the two repeated lines worked very well for me. Good job, Sharon

Gee, this is so sad. It reminds me of my mother's voice when my father died. How tragic a story in such a few words. Great formatting.

This is so touching. How sad and difficult it must've been to find her love. I'm going to go and give my hubby a big hug now...

Stunning. Painfully so. What a nice way to honor such a painful memory. Beautifully penned. :)
