Time

Time

A Poem by bob26

The heavy Tick-Tock
Of golden clock
Deafening, its chiming toll
Shifts fingers long
"Incremental song"
The tumble of mortal dice roll.

Short hours decay
With cruel non-delay
Spinning, as jenny wheel whirls
'Til dusk and dawn
From sight are torn
And world at bell strike unfurls.
