My mind is the midnight sky

My mind is the midnight sky.

A universe of its own.

And I often lose myself in wonder,

As I gaze at the stars each night.

My mind wanders through constellations,

And galaxies of near and far.

Sometimes I get lost in my own little world,

My own little life inside my galaxies.

My mind takes me to places I’ve never seen,

And I dance with each star along the way.

I am in awe at their beauty,

But oh how they burn when I get too close.

My mind is a universe of its own.

Forever expanding, longing for new stars,

New galaxies to explore.

But sometimes, it brings me to the strangest of places,

And I stray to the darkest of corners.

Where the stars are scarce and loneliness is all I know.

But even in those dark corners,

The black holes of my mind,

I find new discoveries.

I find myself in these places,

And my mind is a place of its own.
