In the garden

In the garden

A Poem by Delilah

The wind flows softly
carrying the sweet smell of roses
in it's breeze, birds chirp happily
the sun shines high above
long grasses sway, the rose bush comes into view
a bee buzzes lazily around
the stream saunters slowly down
a bunch of wildflowers grow scattered along the hill
a sense of ease is felt everywhere
sunlight filtering through the branches
a long winding path leading to a secluded waterfall
the perfect spot on the grass to lie down
some of the freshest and coldest water to drink
fruit grown abundantly
a dream, where things are soft and hazy
when the maze is never winding
simple things
where there is no second guessing
where there is no hunger
no suffering
some say its paradise
some say it's a dream
some say it's of your own making
a garden, serene.
