Over the crimson sky

Over the crimson sky

A Poem by Baby Ricochet

Find love in myself
maybe then I'll find healing
But I'm terrified
For what I might find
For the killer inside me
Who needs to be healed
For what he has done
So he could survive
For just one more day
To see the sunrise
Over the crimson sky

For the killer inside me
Who needs to be healed
For what he has done
So he could survive

You were young, baby, and you were manipulated. We all are when we are told that war is the way. (With a few exceptions, there is almost always another way.) We do not blame the child soldier, but magically at 18, we call one an adult. Research shows that the brain is not fully-developed for moral-reasoning until the age of 21, and then the average person will take four or so years to get that new-development up and functioning. You acted within international law … the way of the world … now you use your pen to try to change that 'way of the world'. There is forgiveness for you, Baby. I truly believe that, but it does start with you. Really, it's there.

Brother I see the love and heart within you and I know this much without knowing everything about you or your past that you're straight forward and blunt, to some, kinda a c**t.. but you are a legend in your own rights and one of the nicest, not to mention (good looking - no homo) guys. So grab a chair and a beer and relax, I'm sending the sun your way, you'll survive.

Lol! That's the best thing I've heard all day. Thank you Keegan.
Move on, Baby R. You can't change the past, but you can learn from it. And a lot of peopel don't even do that.

The chilling twist of moral absolute,
A mere child swept under states wing,
Fight fire with fire never stop for red,
Stars shine on cloth for his swing.

Be still my darling boy I ask,
Those tasks are far in your past,
Take time to heal others in sport,
Finally it's your time at last.

This is so heartfelt and gut wrenching. The torment and suffering is palpable. Yet it is written viscerally and poetically:

So he could survive
For just one more day
To see the sunrise
Over the crimson sky

My heart breaks for you.
