a fire left to burn.

a fire left to burn.

A Poem by Devin Swatman-Stewart

Fire.
When I look at you, I see fire. I feel fire. I breathe fire.
You are the fuel source, the heat, the oxygen that permits my fire to burn.
Through the darkness, my fire for you will pierce.
It will guide my way when all other paths are cloaked in black.
The fire I feel burns so radiantly, so powerfully, that nothing can withstand it.
This fire will last as long as time itself, for nothing can ever put it out.
This fire is a fire left to burn
forever.
