Stargazer

Stargazer

A Poem by Brown Bull

Stargazer…

Sometimes I stop to look up high,

into the dark midsummer sky.

I choose a single star above,

and just imagine it’s my love…

Who in some far and distant land,

yet just by chance and never planned,

had gazed herself up at the night

and focused on the same bright light.

And might the one who looks for me,

see in that star just what I see.

And though we are so far apart…

that distant star our love may start.

Well done Bull. I feel a bit of the supernatural in this one. It's nice to imagine "My someone" looking at the same star and wondering the same thing. It's a nice thought and you expressed it well. Rhymes never sounded forced and the rhythm was good throughout. The last line may be slightly flat, but nothing to nit pick over. Nice job.

you make me ........weak. I so adore your rhymes. Written with love and I know you experienced sleeping outside... you voiced this poem to a colorful out, harboring thoughts in rhythm's song....
