Tear Drops on the Grave

Tear Drops on the Grave

A Poem by Diana Owen Busy with Life BBS!

I never thought there would be
a time that you would be missing
from my side.

I always thought we would have the
time to carry out our plans.

If only I had told you all the things
I had to say.
then maybe I wouldn’t feel so guilty
for the last thing that we said.

My heart weeps in agony for the
emptiness that It feels.
nothing can stop those
strings from playing
as it sings it’s mournful song.

As I gaze at the tombstone
With a name that is imprinted on
My soul, and my tear
drops fall upon a grave
Where the part of me that
is whole is buried..

Doesn't everyone fear losing a loved one before their time? I know I do. You got the point across very well and I feel the fear and relate to it very well. You did a great job. I really love it.
