Keeping dear

Keeping dear

A Poem by diaphanous
"

I left home for college. Transitioning.

"
I came down from high above
Looking around for the place I love
New City can't be home
Here I've become so alone.

Warm air swallows my skin
caution before I begin
Letting out the longest sigh
I prepare to be eaten alive.

Swimming waters unscathed
I ignore calls for my name,
carting off my old things
it's time to move again.

Holding me so close
I remember who I've lost
The touch was all I needed
I'm sorry for my mistake.

If there's a chance to change
don't try more of the same.
Words hurt and crimes pain
Listen to my tired exchange.

It's not true what they say
Adjusting isn't always easy
and I'm scared of when
I'll forget who I've been.

Your intent is there...
but the rhyme is forced a bit...
you could make a rewrite of this ---
and give that emphasis to the reader...
as is...it is what it is...

I love the rhythmic tone . Well done

Thank you so much :)
I am sorry to say, I have too many questions of the wording. I found this interesting. However there was something I found to be a weakness in the armor.

Why?
