Bitter Sweet Entanglement

Old poem I wrote when I was back in high school and just recently found it. Kind of ominous, but enlightening nonetheless.

Have you ever felt like your walls are crashing down?

Like no one is there to pick you up.

And everything seems to be going the wrong way.

Have you ever been hurt so badly you wanted to crawl in a hole and never leave?

Like you're all alone in the world, secluded from everything and everyone.

And no one is there to lend a hand.

Have you ever been pushed too far?

Like this time everything is laid on the line.

And it's all or nothing.

Have you ever been made fun of?

Like a "friend" calling you a name.

And every time you feel the pain.

Have you ever been told you're not good enough?

Like you're going to amount to nothing.

And that your life is just a waste.

Have you ever felt alone in a world with so many?

Like no one even sees you there.

And it feels like not a soul cares.

Have you ever held in so much rage?

Like you're going to do something you'll regret.

And you can't let it out.

Have you ever been a kid in this position?

Like your world just turned upside down.

And nothing can bring you up when you're down.

Well this is what it's like to be me.
