She

About a friend of mine that I've had a "crush" on probably ever since we became friends.

She makes me smile a smile that hasn't been there in awhile.
She brings the light closer to my shadow so I can see clearly.
She eases the pain that is oh so evident from my smile.
She takes away my breath, and with that line I do mean sincerely.

She is many things, but above all she is my dear friend.
She lets me see that not all people act in the same ways.
She said she'd always be there for me and she did not bend.
She resembles an angel with the facade she portrays.

She will forever hold a special place in my heart.
She is everything a man could possibly want.
She haunts my dreams with memories of when we did part.
She remains but a vivid image; that is her taunt.

Author's Note

Tried my best to not force the meter or rhyme scheme, but I think it went well overall. I messed around with the meter though, so each stanza is less than the previous.
