Nighttime

Lights pollute the darkness

shadows follow us

we gather near the faded heavens

dying for a breath of life

Desperation fills our hearts

Sadness sours our soul

Clinging to a fading hope

that tomorrow holds much more

Trust- a word rarely spoken

Desire- to strong to survive

Living in the nighttime

Dying in the day

this is how I am

This is how I shall stay
