The Liquidity of Verse

The Liquidity of Verse

A Poem by Audrey Howitt
"

just another meandering

"

fine mist of words

colored by grammatical powdering

settle upon line and space

neither powder nor liquid

a sense of wonderment

aligns its arc with the verve of enlightenment

on the eve of nature’s unseen adventure

pilgrim

lost in the stars of eyes

I stand with the whispers

of promise at my back

and the shine of penciled mist

before me

You are so right to muse about where these words come from. It never ceases to amaze me that we all have this within us.
