Anecdote

Anecdote

A Poem by DJuan Thomas

Sometimes things get lost.
Time passes in the night
in anecdotal increments and
no one ever notices the minutes
running on the clock.
Beauty fades under covers in the dark
so you won't see the flaws
until the morning when it's too late.
I don't know if I'll ever
really know you or if I
ever even knew you, dear friend.
Time and memory fight so
savagely that I shy from the melee,
but these anecdotal increments
do seem
amazingly significant.

About
There is so much I can say here about my life I suppose, but it seems so uninteresting to write about it. Talking to people just seems so much better. I'm a small town guy, pretty simple I think. I'm .. more..
