Unspoken

Unspoken

A Poem by d.m.vargas
"

my lost and no ones gain.

"

How could I do this to you?

You needed me and I you.

Your heart shattered by the murder of my father.

How could you deal, how did you deal with three kids in tow.

Your mind wondered, you stood strong for so long.

You lost, you lost at the end.

Your body unraveling in front of my eyes,

You finally found love, you finally got it together.

It was too late, your body over taken by the need of alcohol.

It took over you, all of these years.

You lost, we lost.

Your body still and everyone in devastation.

How could you live a life like the one you had.

How could I let you down, scorn I was, but I could have saved you.

You needed love, you needed me and I left you, ALONE like you always have been.

You’re gone and I’m here.

You’re gone and I need you,

I need you so selfishly but you’re gone and I’m here.

I’m sorry, I’m sorry for ever yours, your selfishly daughter.

Completely heart wrenching, but totally understandable,
it's not your fault and I pray you know that, I am a recovering
alcoholic and sometimes there is absolutely nothing you
can do for someone caught in this disease, I know cause
of my past unfortunately, well written piece, thanks for sharing and b-blessed!
