Forgiveness

Forgiveness

A Poem by donny ingraham

 A mark against my name

one that refuses to to laid to rest

every moment

my mistake is resurrected

 Remembered

like an important point in history

something you choose not to forget

looking at era

but not your own

The bible commands you to forgive me

let the past be remembered no more

everyday you bring it to my door

throwing me to Satan

 Only to prove yourself holy

you cast dirt upon my name

Forgiveness is more important then we realize. Hate and disappointment leave close doors that need to be open. Took me many years to understand. Holding mistakes and errors against another leave us to suffer in the end. A strong ending to a outstanding poem.
