I GIVE THANKS

A GREAT WAKING

I woke to the sun peaking from behind clouds.

The air warming slightly from the past cold.

The day so quiet and serene, I can feel you here.

Sharing the beauty of the world you gave us.

 

The flowers sway gently on your soft breeze,

Drinking in the sunlight peaking down.

I feel so at peace as I admire the scene.

You have lifted my heart with all that you bring.

 

for all of this dear Lord, I give you thanks,

I can't help but surrender my happiness to you.

Just to bask in the beauty you have given,

The love it took for you to create all.
