Chronic

Chronic

A Poem by Diana

Chronic.

She says she'll come to--one day.

But one day came and went.

Chronic, in my bones and joints.
Chronic, there is no escape.

No get-away.
Fly-away dreams
and broken hearts.

Chronic.

You can feel this so much in these words. Chronic indeed. Tyfs

Paused to hear ...today. Felt the chill behind my eyes and the taste of tears.

Anytime Di... anytime at all. Good seeing you return
and sometimes the suffering of heart is chronic.
No relief, no cure, we just seem to chronically get into situations that
lead to broken dreams and fly-away hearts...
the layout of your poems, the lengths of line....so important.

Good points. Thank you, Jacob.
Suffering of this kind is so debilitating. Chronic pain can wreck lives. There are many in this situation. How difficult it must be to get any enjoyment in life when in constant pain. That's where I travelled to with your words Diana.
