"Happily Ever After"

"Happily Ever After"

A Poem by what-the-frick

It's the rainbow, before the rain.
Broken heart
precedes your pain.
Laughter before the
punch line came.
Bull's eye hit before the aim.
It's not in the riddle books,
Redundant lines are all it took.
Take belief set in stone,
Cracked away, like brittle bone.
Now words are spoken, but it's too late.
Between I love you,
and glares of hate.
Reaching the illusion, taking the bait.
A fallen princess laughs at fate.
