"Lucent Lexis"

A Poem by what-the-frick

7-6-06

Decisions lack,
My hope is cracked.
Stuck in the corner, inching back.
I'm all alone,
Even when you're home.
Your promises break like brittle bone.

The words you speak,
Catch in my heart.
You stand there as we fall apart.
United by the cause we lose.
You're the crutch for halfway truths.

Emotions well up, but I stay still.
If you play dead, then I will, too.
Thoughts overcome me,
In all shades blue.
So show me what I mean to you.
