"Hesitant"

"Hesitant"

A Poem by what-the-frick

You cower.
Duck behind the same tired lines and worn out signs.
You'd rather repeatedly hit rewind.
Relive the mistakes, the hurt, echoed pain.
Not live in the now, let's have history again.
And while you're hesitating, behind the shadows we were,
Confidence wavering, heart beats unsure.
As much as I loved you, let's even the score.
I can't honestly say that I'm yours anymore.
