"Deplorable"

"Deplorable"

A Poem by what-the-frick

Deception and false appearance
Miserable despite perseverance
You hide away, ignore the signs
Squint between the blurred lines

My heart is broken
Lies are spoken
Treading in this vicious cycle
Eyes are brimming, tears won't fall
How can you make me feel so small?

All the promises, fell away
Said forever, but I can't stay
Loved you more than you deserved
Was on the straightaway, then you swerved

And watched me die
Inside
While you disappeared
But never cried
I'm not worth your tears
Or your years
Take back these memories, souvenirs
I'm not what you need
Concede to secede
Follow the herd, I'd rather lead

Goodbye.
