"Brutal Pain"

"Brutal Pain"

A Poem by what-the-frick

You slice, where you know it cuts the deepest.
And I cry, but you're not sorry in the least bit.
Why do I stay, when all I feel is pain?
Good for awhile, then the cycle starts again.

If my tears could flood you,
I'd never cease the water.
Said you loved me,
Wanted me to have your daughter.
But you don't love the parts of me that are jaded.
Take this girl,
All her faults and just...
Sedate it.

You'd rather hurt me
Than try and heal the pain.
Ignore the sunny weather,
And revel in the rain.
Take my love, make it bleed, make it stain.

And you claim innocence.
You're never wrong.
Yet you're not good at love.
I've heard this song,
And dance. You hit replay.
You'll be here tomorrow,
While I'm gone today.

I love how you are about to convey so much raw emotion into your writings. I read this and I can feel pain, sadness and resentment. Like it's happening to me. You do have an amazing gift. The inspiration however I wish you didn't have to endure.
