"Recap"

A Poem by what-the-frick

Seconds ticking,

Keeping time,

With your heart and mine.

Stolen glances,

Crooked smiles,

It's been awhile.

I taste your lips in the words I speak.

Hear the volume in the secrets I keep.

Can almost feel your fingers in mine,

Across that invisible line.

Devoured in truth,

Cloak wishes in a mist.

One vindictive kiss.

It's what we know...

But don't say...

I can't leave, but you won't stay.
