Reflection

The shudder beneath her was impossible to comprehend,

Improbable.

But it echoed the one inside her,

Mirroring her consciousness

Leaving her vulnerable

To the idea of irrationality.

 

She needed a release,

An alternative to the construct,

Some inner peace for her core.

 

She sought refuge in the answer

Before asking the question

And relaxed in the idea

Of this metaphysical lion’s den…
