Patience

Patience

A Poem by dreamkeeper

The indemnity of my solace often leads

To a place of despair.

Adrift in the suffering of my consciousness

I am alone

Disconnected from the anchor of my peace.

Aloof,

Unaware that my likeness is drowning

In the oceans of my grief

I need a release

Relief

From the suffocation of my reflection

The opposition is unnerving

So, I wait

Patiently twiddling my thumbs

While witnessing the annihilation

Of my nemesis

My innocence

Hides

in the crevices of my nightmares

Hoping to go undetected.

I lay awake at night and wonder

Why me?
