MISSING YOU

MISSING YOU

A Poem by Andrew

I stayed back in absentia
Looking inconsequential
You saw what I wasn't wearing
Even though I was invisible

My smile was upside down
Like I was on my head, walking
The chirp, tooting and blaring
A din below the silence

I said how much I missed you
Though you couldn't hear or see me
Kissed your lips, drank its juice
My mind it seemed was gaming

Make me a shadow in your shadow
Don't change nature's sequence
Light the way for me to disappear
Pain is the new gain

The heart of the matter
Seems like the matter of the heart
Ahoy, ahoy, a tannoy
To amplify the sounds of silence
