Empathy

I used to work at a crises center .I wrote this as a kind of personal prayer

 

         Empathy

 Give me the will to listen

 and the knowledge to christen

 the troubled

 with some sage thought

 and the tolerance to bear

 with a sembalence of care

 the troubled

 with what I have naught
