About how earthworms crawl like the civilians that they are, to the bottom of most protozoa. How they prefer maple over oak leaves; clover over grass. As I recall you mother would pin my gloves to the sleeve of my coat in some simultaneous embarrassment under the pretense of loss. Did you ever say something to someone that you were forced to say? Did you ever leave before leaving? Come before coming home? I never wanted you believing in worms or the earth. Not the cavities they create. Not the salty juice they crawl home thru.
