im madeline

im madeline

A Poem by Madeline Sime
"

a little bit about myself in a poem

"

I'm madeline
The girl with broken dreams
The girl that can't ever let out her screams
Cause people might hear and think its less than its seems
I'm the girl that was abandoned at birth
Mind you I still have my biological parents
But they stopped wanting me the moment I was born with an unresponsive heart
So for them it must have been hard
To see their dreams fall apart
Then see the doctors do all they could do for that little girl tha was born at 2 in da morning on dominican independence day
I came out with out a scream and all my life i have been holding it in
All the pain
All the rejection
All the injection
Age 9 skinny lil stick don't even weigh 70 pounds
Starts having headaches that are ignored cause by that age it was to late to say anything at all that would ruin her parents world
Found almost dead one night is rushed to the hospital to find out that she had to have her her checked and that her mother and father signed a form over to the doctors and left home cause they had to sleep
Has no shoulder to cry on just an innocent lil girl fighting against the world
Grown b4 her time
All those suppressed cries
That have now decided to come out
She didn't cry the first time or the second time around
She read books to younger kids
Showed them her poetry
Taught them to believe in dreams
And fairytale life
Cause that all they had to live
A lie
Okay
God
I'm writing wat is coming out of my heart
All that has been kept in all this time
You said you want me around well get to learning that I need somebody in who confide
And I thank you for being willing to try
To listen to the stories of this broken heart

wow... I can tell you really wrote this from your heart. You really poured out your pain onto this screen. The hardships life throws at you, can leave you so hurt, it's hard to go on. I can see what life has been throwing at you, is (simply put) everything you never wanted. Thankyou for sharing your work with us. Really enjoyed read it. If you have anything you want me to read, please tell me about it. Thanks also for entering my contest.
