A Sad Lonely Day Poem

A Sad Lonely Day Poem

A Poem by Amorette Duvannes
"

just what the title says it is. and don't resent this one too much, she was choked out because i couldn't stand being sad and not having anything to show for it. adieu.

"
Curled me up in your throat
One of your words, your accented this
A centipede too shy to 'hale;
Shrivelled it right up so I couldn't see
And knuckled it down your throat
So it couldn't exist

And then you grow on and up
And I couldn't see, or be
Your vealth is not value I'm sorry
A plinth along your teeth
And English becomes a cherub to you
You dream it better than I

Your accent pitches up a mountain
When it gets incredulous, your eyes are
No goblet, they do not screech. Understated,
They undermine you, and I don't wish to condescend,
But I pine for you, dear.

However

I could love you with a thee or two, or a
Thou if I was feeling particularly malicious.
The loveliest love I dare to give comes in this
And that and the apologetic prophecies of
A lacking knuckle benefactress. Adieu

Amorette Duvannes
Opinions as human being please. I really don't want scholar-ly feedback. A lot of my work asks for that. The last few pieces do not, because I know now. Poetry matters to people, not graduates. Thank you.
