A World Apart

A poem i wrote for my grandpa who died in 2006

It’s hard to say goodbye to you, we just can’t let you go.
We all love you so much, this you have to know.
We’ll make it through this tragic loss, one day at a time.
Nothing will ever be the same again, without you in our lives.
You’ll always be remembered by all the memories in our hearts.
You’ll always be with us, even though we’re a world apart.
We’ll never forget how you made us laugh at all the little things.
Or how your voice sounded so good every time you use to sing.
You may have left us here to grieve, but that’s okay, because you’re
Standing right at Jesus’ feet.
