truth

truth

A Poem by Elisabeth Bowles

Sitting in the firelight, the warm glow brightening my face

Allowing the flames to tickle the roots of my soul and the branches of my heart

The embers enveloping me and turning the darkness bright

I follow the smoke to the sky.

Allow my dreams to soar into the clouds, released into the vast beauty of the universe.

I lie upon the cool summer night ground, and let the earth hold me, enveloping me.

Surrounding myself with the fragrance of the night

Enticing me to search all creation

Offering thanks to the creator for generosity, for beauty

Offering myself to be one with the earth

Giving of myself, finally whole, alone to nature

To the nature of love, to the love of self, the self of truth.

About
I write because it is my passion. Not to be judged but to entertain the world. And for a little bit of self therapy. I love my family. I love my life. It has been a long journey to this spot, and.. more..
