A Poem by Eddie Davis
"

A patriotic poem to honor the United States of America

"

July 4th, 1776

Long ago, there was the dream,

Of freedom’s light and for this scheme,

Patriots dared to stand and fight,

For God, justice and all that’s right,

They pledged their hearts for freedom’s call,

While within Independence Hall,

Delegates, that Fourth of July,

Declared to give Freedom a try,

That Declaration, still today,

Is the heart of the USA,

And though many will mock and scorn,

On that day, Liberty was born,

The greatest nation stands still true,

Wrapped proudly in red, white and blue,

United we stand, proud to say,

Happy Independence Day

Really nice, Eddie. I can feel your patriotism radiating from your words. Very well done! Happy independence day! Sorry, I'm 3 days late. Haha.

Thank you, Blue, it was a nice 4th here.
Happy Independence Day, Eddie.

You are a good person...and a good person is easy to please and will always be happy and contented in life. You know how to appreciate gifts and blessings. And Independence is a great gift for every citizen...though the gift is not that perfect because of existing problems that are really hard to deal with.

Thank you for sharing this. God bless you always.
