A Poem by Ed Hart

the lamp
wearing a severe shade
is elegance

soft light
bathes the gold collar
before cascading
a slendering glass
of blackest blue

a hint
of egypt-age goddess
                                captured
by a single gold slipper
she waited
on that thrift store table
for me

-- wow, Maestro Ed... -- i haven't read such a divine enunciation of how one who recognizes true art picks the quiet (almost invisible) masterpiece in a thrift store... -- and this symphony also highlights how the one who notices masterpieces just about anywhere lives in a different world... always observing beauty, celebrating it and sharing it generously with others... -- thank you for being a connoisseur in the truest sense of the word...
